The RQSHA begins the process of creating an Advisory Committee. This commettee will have the role to ensure that the scientific orientations of the Réseau align with its transformative long-term mission and to participate in the evaluation and monitoring of the structuring initiatives of the RQSHA and of its common resources.
The Advisory Committee will be composed of representatives of diverse perspectives on the activities of the Réseau, including patient partners, representatives of patients’ organizations, people who have benefited from treatments or research and a student member.
The mandate of its members is four years, renewable once.
The Advisory Committee will support research initiatives related to suicide, mood disorders and related disorders in the context of:
- The creation of projects around the challenges experienced by the affected populations.
- The development of common objectives with the national suicide prevention strategy and the various research agendas related to suicide.
- The Advisory Committee will approve the annual report of the scientific and administrative activities of the Réseau.
- As part of its responsibilities, the Advisory Committee will attend a meeting of RQSHA scientific committee.
