Academics Marie-Claude Geoffroy, Ph. D., from McGill University, Monique SĂ©guin, Ph. D., from UniversitĂ© du QuĂ©bec en Outaouais and Sylvanne Daniels, Ph. D., from the Douglas Research Institute, are organizers of the symposium, titled “Suicide: New scientific perspectives and importance for prevention.” which was presented May 29 during the ACFAS annual meeting. Together, they answered questions about suicide, its prevention and new avenues proposed by science.Â
