Read a recent interview with Dr. Alain Lesage about a pilot project through which each suicide that occurred in 2016 in the East of Montreal is being examined to evaluate the life trajectory, health problems and calls for help of the deceased person.
Dr. Lesage hope that such systemic and in-depth evaluations will soon become the norm, everywhere in Quebec, and that they will allow better care of people who are most at risk of suicide, notably those who have mental health problems or an addiction to alcohol or drugs.
