Membership

In order to facilitate networking, the Réseau québécois sur le suicide, les troubles de l’humeur et les troubles associés (RQSHA) would like to invite researchers, professionals and non-professionals, students and all other people interested in research,  intervention and prevention of suicide, suicidal behaviors and of mood and associated disorders  to join our network. The RQSHA wishes to create an open, multidisciplinary, multisectorial and interprofessional network to further enhance partnership, collaboration and networking between research and practice.

Member categories

Regular member

RQSHA regular members:

  • Are researchers interested in suicide, suicidal behaviours, mood and associated disorders, working in research, intervention or prevention.
  • Must submit an application to the Executive Committee for approval.
  • Must be an independent researcher affiliated to a Quebec University or in an institution of the Réseau de la santé et des services sociaux du Québec.

Student member

Must satisfy the following criterias: 

  • Be registered in a Quebec university.
  • Must conduct or be involved in research related to suicide, mood disorders and associated disorders.   

Partners

Partner members of the RQSHA satisfy one of the following criteria:

  • Researcher, professional or non-professional  interested in research and prevention of suicide, mood disorders and associated disorders.  The associate member can be, among other, a clinician, an educator, a manager, a community worker, etc.
  • Be  actively involved in various research activities and projects directed by regular members or in which they are involved.  
  • Be an association, organisation or institution, public or private, interested in suicide, suicidal behavior, mood and associated disorders.
  • Be an association, organisation or institution, public or private, involved and/or interested in supporting regularly or on an ad hoc basis research  on suicide, suicidal behavior, mood and associated disorders.

Member responsibilities and privileges

Membership is free of charge for all members. Members are eligible for funding (pilot projects, fellowships, etc.) All members are invited to participate in RQSHA networking and knowledge transfer activities. Only regular members can be invited to participate in the administrative committee.
